From the start of the school year, I have been in awe of the amazing parent support from my students' families. I had always found that parent support and participation tend to dwindle away as I taught in the upper grades, but this year's class has proven that wrong!! Hedenkamp Husky Dual Immersion parents are not only support our instruction with follow-though at home, our parents take time our of their busy days to come in and offer a helping hand. As we prepare to head off to our Fall break, I just want to do a shout out to all the parents who have helped us out this far this school year!! You know who you are... your kindness is much appreciated. See you all in two weeks!

Today was our first day of parent-teacher conferences. Mr. Hanks and Mrs. Mazeau took care of us first year DI teachers by providing a substitute for the full day so that we could get a jump on our first parent-teacher conferences. Sra. Hurtado and I have chosen to be together for all of our conferences to answer any parent questions or concerns for both of us. We will be discussing student work. progress, assessment data, and report card conduct and academic scores.
