I was displaced from a wonderful school community and am now a part of the Loma Verde Elementary family. Our first day back as staff is on August 26, students return virtually on August 31. I look forward to this new beginning and to building community with my students and their parents in the coming school year. Thank you, Mrs. Watson, for the opportunity to be here!

“It’s time you break outside those four walls and make a larger impact on our community.” Your words and Anabelle’s sweet smile and deep appreciation have echoed in my mind and heart since her graduation day! Thank you for your incredible support

"You have no idea how much your accomplishment means to Anabelle and all other little Latinas who will emulate your hard work and success! Your influence as a Latina leader will create future Latina leaders that will see themselves and their potential in YOU! Continue to shine sister and you always have us backing you up!! #UseYourPlatformToInspireOthers #ReachYourPotential" - Ana M.

Graduation cancelled, PARTY ON!

My graduation from my PASC program has been cancelled, but a few colleagues took the time to celebrate this incredible accomplishment with my family, two years in the making! Gracias, chicas, por su amor y apoyo. To my husband and children, I am forever grateful for your endless patience as I stayed up late every night to work on projects, interviews, essays, etc. I dedicate this accomplishment to my family and to my mother who was robbed of her opportunity to complete middle school. ¡Sí se puede!

Hanover Survey

5/1/2017

Dear Parents/Guardians:
We invite you to complete our online parent survey, known as the Hanover Survey. With this survey, we hope to learn more about your experiences and your child(ren’s) experiences at school during this school year with teachers, administrators, students, and other District staff. All responses are anonymous and will never be connected to you - your answers will be kept strictly confidential. Reporting will rely on grouped percentages only.
If both parents/guardians in a household would like to take the survey, that is fine. However, we ask that each adult only take the survey once, and please do so by May 12, 2017. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the survey, please contact the District's Research, Evaluation, and Instruction Department at (619) 425-9600, ext. 1326.
Click on the link that follows or cut and paste into your browser to complete the parent survey:http://bit.ly/cvesdparent
Thank you in advance for your participation.

I am a 3rd grade Spanish Dual Immersion teacher at Loma Verde Elementary School in Chula Vista, California! With 16+ years under my belt as a classroom teacher, I decided it was time to try something new.  I have taken my bilingual skills and applied them to my career.  I have been pleasantly surprised with this change and look forward to discovering more about DI as this year unfolds!  Join me on my journey as I search to become a master dual-immersion teacher.
